BAOWU SPECIAL METALLURGY
Baowu Special Metallurgy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Baowu Special Metallurgy) is a special steel research and development and manufacturing unit of China Baowu, which originated from Shanghai Fifth Steel Plant and Shanghai Iron and Steel Research Institute, Baosteel Special Steel Co., Ltd. In June 2018, according to Baowu’s strategic development, with special metallurgical core assets as the main body, focusing on high-performance metal and alloy materials with special metallurgical technology as the core, Baowu Special Metallurgy was established in August 2018. In October of the same year, as China Baowu’s first-level subsidiary officially operated independently.

Special alloy steel tube is one of the major products of Baowu Special Metallurgy .This line has advanced and integrated specialsteel smelting, forging blooming, tube rolling, finishing and testing capabilities.
After more than 60 years of reform and development, Baowu Special Metallurgy has become one of the most important high-quality special steel and special alloy R&D and production bases, forming high-temperature alloys, corro¬sion-resistant alloys, titanium and titanium alloys, precision alloys, and special alloys, stainless steel, special structural steel, tool and die steel and other product groups are widely used in energy power stations, advanced transportation, construction machinery, petrochemicals, environmental protection and other fields. Since the establishment of the company, many of the projects that are responsible or participated in have won national, provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievements awards such as the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award, and the first prize of the Metallurgical Science and Technology Award.
